A Night to Remember at The Royal Albert Hall

Earlier this month, a group of our pupils had the incredible honour of performing at the Music for Youth Proms 2025 at the Royal Albert Hall — one of the most iconic concert venues in the world.
It was an unforgettable day filled with music, fun, laughter and new friendships, as our young singers joined over 1,000 performers from across the UK in a spectacular large-scale musical celebration. We were so proud to see our pupils grow in confidence, develop new musical skills, and truly shine on such a prestigious stage — what an amazing experience for everyone involved.

All instrumentalists are welcome — and yes, piano players can join too!
This ensemble is included as part of each pupil’s one free weekly supplementary class. If your child is already attending a complimentary class, they can still join the ensemble for a small additional fee.
Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out!

Congratulations, Esther – A Place in the National Children’s Orchestra!
We’re incredibly proud of our pupil Esther, who has gained a place in the National Children’s Orchestra (NCO) of Great Britain for the third year in a row—a truly outstanding achievement!
The NCO brings together some of the UK’s most talented young musicians and offers an exceptional experience through inspiring residential courses, high-level ensemble training, and the chance to perform in prestigious venues. Pupils work with world-class conductors and tutors, gaining invaluable orchestral experience from a young age.
The standard for audition and entry is high—but the experience is truly phenomenal. If you think your child may be ready for this exciting challenge, or would like support in preparing for an audition, please contact our Principal. We’d be delighted to help guide them through the process.
Music Lessons in Progress
We absolutely love seeing the joy and excitement our pupils bring with them every week — the laughter, the chatter, the energy! It’s part of what makes The Excelsis School of Music such a vibrant and welcoming community.
However, we kindly ask all parents and carers to be mindful of noise levels when entering and exiting the building — especially when walking past the church downstairs, where Mass or prayer may be taking place.
Let’s respect the peaceful atmosphere for those in worship.
We also gently remind everyone to help keep the corridor areas calm and quiet while lessons are in progress. We know younger siblings can be full of energy, and we’re always happy to see them — just a little quiet encouragement goes a long way. Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. Together, we create a nurturing and respectful space for every member of our musical family.
